When one follows in the dust of the Master, one is likely to get dusty, too.

The Tale of the Scales
Let's say you have two bathroom scales, one which is accurate (arg!) and the other weighs you lighter from 3 to 6 pounds than your actual weight. Which do you use? Why?
Well it's just a question to get one thinking...Do you want the harsh (and sometimes ugly) truth or do you want to what makes you feel good? It came up because I constantly choose the one that sheds pounds instead of the one that sheds light on the problem. However, spiritually, I would rather have the one that truthful to me and exposes me so I can be clean in front of God, even though it is painful to see the truth. You?
Come in and sit a while. I enjoy writing about things that are important, interesting, informative or impulsive. Many things I write about have a spiritual twist and some things that are just plain twisted. God has been transforming my life for the past 30 years. My journey has taken me from the tops of 14,000 ft. mountains in Colorado to being the dad of a severely handicapped, special-needs son (and two gifted sons). My yearning is to experience the Spirit, allowing God to work through me. I love my family, friends, church and community. I hope my blog encourages and inspires others to have a deeper, more meaningful realtionship with Christ or just brings a smile to their face. Be sure to comment, whether you agree with me or not, because I like the conversation. Ya'll come back now, ya hear.
Now what kind of question is that?
